Palmerton Borough Council, on a 5-0 vote, took the following action last week:

• Offered Jeremy Wolfe a zoning/codes job, effective Jan. 2, at the rate of $19 an hour, for about 20 hours a week. The position has a 6-month probationary period.

• Approved the appointment of Christal Benninger from part-time to full-time borough clerk, effective Jan 2. Her salary will be approved at council’s Dec. 15 meeting.

• Adopted an ordinance for a tax penalty waiver.

• Approved the use request of the Friends of the Dog Park for the use of the bandstand for Pictures with Santa.
