State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating a forgery/counterfeiting case in Effort.

Police said they were summoned at 1:47 p.m. Nov. 7 to the Dunkin Donuts business on Route 115, Chestnuthill Township, for as report of a man using counterfeit $50 bills on three separate occasions.

A 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee is involved in the case, police said.

Police said $450 worth of counterfeit bills were used in obtaining the stolen property from the store.
