State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said the M&T Bank flagged an attempt by someone to steal from a Port Clinton woman’s bank account.

Police said the transaction attempt took place on Nov. 3 when an unknown person attempted to withdraw money from the woman’s bank account by using her debit card n umber.

Police said the bank stopped the transaction due to it being out of state, and the woman did not lose money.
