Two people are dead after a double fatal crash that occurred Sunday evening in Pocono Township.

Monroe County Coroner Tom Yanac said Monday morning that the incident occurred before 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Routes 715 and 611.

Yanac said there was a driver in each vehicle, and confirmed that two people died in the crash.

He said the incident remains under investigation, and added that autopsies are scheduled for Tuesday.

Yanac said Pocono Township Police, Pocono Township Fire Department and a St. Luke’s EMS responded to the scene.
