Carbon environmental center programs

Carbon County Environmental Education Center in Summit Hill has announced the following events.

Most programs offered in-person with limited attendance. See program descriptions for details at www.carboneec.org/publicprograms. Additional information is also on CCEEC’s Facebook page.

CCEEC is located at 151 E. White Bear Drive, Summit Hill. The center building is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends.

Creepy Crawlers

Creepy Crawlers is held from 10-11:30 a.m. once a month for 2-, 3- and 4-year-olds. Each session focuses on some aspect of the natural world. Children participate in age-appropriate games, crafts, stories and other activities.

Dec. 19: Very Crafty

Programs are free for members, and a $5 per-child donation is requested of non-members.

Holiday Crafts

The center will hold a holiday craft session at 6 p.m. on Dec. 14.

Brighten up the holiday with some hand-crafted items: Candle holders, wreaths, jewelry, gift bags and tree ornament projects will be available for everyone. Holiday music and refreshments will round out the night. There is a $10 fee per adult participant, and pre-registration is a must. All ages are welcome.
