The Rev. Darryl Kensinger is the new pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ.

Earlier this month, Tamaqua became home to he and his wife, Tina. They have three children, a son, 19, at home, a married daughter in Mifflinville and a daughter attending the University of Arkansas.

Originally from southern Oklahoma, Rev. Kensinger began his career as a southern Baptist preacher, later changing to the United Church of Christ ministry. His first assignment for the UCC was in Orangeville, where he served three churches that belong to the southwest conference that is based in Palmerton.
