November 25, 1933 - Nesquehoning pulls off an upset, shutting out powerful Coaldale by a 16-0 score. A blocked punt, recovered by the Tigers in the end zone, gives the Nesquers a 2-0 lead with a safety. Following the free kick, the winners march 70 yards to extend their first-quarter advantage. Frankie Marouchoc caps the long drive with a 5-yard touchdown run. Nesquehoning adds an insurance tally in the fourth frame after another blocked punt.
