Shawn Smith of Pennsburg accepts a donation of supplies Saturday from Susan Young of Effort in the Kinsley’s ShopRite parking lot for Operation Touch of Home. The American Legion of Gilbert collects nonperishable foods, hygiene items, batteries, activity books and more to send to troops overseas. Items will be shipped this week. The collection was set up in front of the Touch of Home Mack truck, which is kept in Macungie. Smith is one of the drivers of the truck that goes to various locations. MARTA GOUGER/TIMES NEWS
