State police at Fern Ridge

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following incidents investigated by troopers:

• On Nov. 4 at 3:33 a.m. troopers were dispatched to a report of a harassment/criminal mischief incident that occurred at Lynn’s Hotel, located at 2642 Route 115, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

A 52-year-old man from Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, who troopers declined to identify, was charged with criminal mischief. The victims were listed as a 55-year-old man from Old Bridge, New Jersey, and a 25-year-old woman from Penn Forest Township.

The front windshield and passenger side window of a vehicle were damaged.

• On Nov. 13 at 2:27 p.m. troopers responded to Hartman Lane, in Chestnuthill Township, for a disturbance. Police said Scott Freeman, 55, of Effort, pushed and slammed the door in the face of a 57-year-old woman.

Freeman was cited for harassment - physical contact.

• On Oct. 21 at 2 a.m. troopers responded to Rosebud Court, in Tunkhannock Township, Monroe County, for a report of an injured man. Through an investigation it was learned that a 48-year-old woman from Albrightsville and a 19-year-old man from Blakeslee, who troopers declined to identify, got into an altercation with physical contact.

As a result both were issued citations for harassment - physical contact.

• Troopers said on Nov. 13 at 5 p.m. a 69-year-old woman from Stroudsburg was performing her duties as a U.S. Census Bureau worker along Mountain Road in Jackson Township, Monroe County, when she encountered a man at the intersection with Mount Drive and Rinker Road. At the time the victim was driving her vehicle when the man blocked her car at the intersection, which prevented her from leaving.

Troopers said the man told the woman to leave the neighborhood and if she returned she would be sorry. The man then left the area driving a red pickup truck. No injuries were reported.

• On Nov. 9 at 10:38 p.m. troopers investigated a trespass after hours at the Chestnuthill Township Community Park, located off Route 715 at Lake Mineola Road.

Police said Cory Henning, 21, of Effort, and Kiersten Schermerhorn, 19, of Kunkletown, entered the park and were in possession of illegal substances and drug paraphernalia.

Police said drug charges will be filed.

• Troopers reported on Nov. 11 at 11:40 a.m. a vehicle stop of a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado truck was conducted at Merwinsburg and Jonas roads, in Chestnuthill Township.

The driver, Ronald Jackson, 30, of Albrightsville, had an active warrant for his arrest.

Troopers also found drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Charges to be filed.
