November 17, 1960 - Frank Zlock of Lansford scores a team-high 17 points to help lead Tamaqua “A” Battery to a 64-55 victory over Allentown in a National Guard League basketball contest. The winners, who trailed by six points at halftime, received double-digit scoring from four players. Beside Zlock, Jack Malarkey tallied 14 points while Tracy and Angelo both contributed 10. The win was the second straight to start the season for Tamaqua, coached by Gus Konstas.
