The Tigers had broken a tie in the fourth quarter when Jeff Christman plunges in for a 1-yard TD run, but the Colts - coached by Jack Malarkey - respond with a 70-yard drive to take the lead. Mazur also accounts for Marian’s other score in the second frame, while Christman tallies both Northwestern touchdowns - adding a 65-yard pick-six.
