Driver flees crash scene; to be charged

A Monroe County driver is facing charges after she fled a crash scene.

State police at Fern Ridge said Holly A. Cramer, 53, of Brodheadsville, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Blazer southbound on Route 209, near Village Edge Drive in Chestnuthill Township, when the vehicle struck a curb. The vehicle continued down an embankment striking a utility pole. After impact with the pole the vehicle rotated about 90 degrees coming to rest facing north.

A witness on scene said the driver then attempted to move the vehicle by backing up causing the rear tires of the vehicle to smoke and leave debris on the road from the tires and the asphalt. The witness said he then observed the driver, a woman, exit the vehicle and run south across 209 toward Village Edge Road where he lost sight of her. The vehicle was towed.

Troopers said human blood was present on the dash, seat and doorway to the driver’s side. A further investigation identified Cramer as the driver. Charges will be filed.
