Carbon County court — ARD

Seven defendants in pending driving under the influence cases were placed in Carbon County’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program on Friday by President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program, their record will be wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.

All were placed for a year.

Joshua Nicholas Eremus, 28, of Lehighton, was arrested on April 29 by state police at Lehighton for DUI of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $600 for the cost of the program and had his license suspended for 60 days.

Aaron Michael Kunkle, 27, of Palmerton, was arrested on June 26, by state police at Lehighton for DUI of alcohol.

He was assessed $550 and license suspended for 60 days.

Craig Thomas Lafey, 32, of Palmerton, was arrested on May 31 by state police at Lehighton for DUI of alcohol.

He was assessed $550 and license suspended for 60 days.

Luzon Julio Reyes, 34, of Philadelphia, was arrested on July 2 by state police at Lehighton for DUI of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $600 and license suspended for 60 days.

Justin E. Sebelin, 45, of Jim Thorpe, was arrested on Jan. 5 by Jim Thorpe police for DUI of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $600 and license suspended for 60 days.

Matthew J. Gibbs-Buss, 25, of Coaldale, was arrested on July 2 by state police at Lehighton for DUI of alcohol.

He was assessed $550 and license suspended for 60 days.

Eric Tracy Seagle, 20, of Toms River, New Jersey, was arrested on July 12 by state police at Lehighton for DUI of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $600 and license suspended for 90 days.

Each defendant must also pay court costs of over $1,000, a $50 per month supervision fee, attend and successfully complete a safe driving course, follow any recommendation of their drug and alcohol evaluation and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program.
