Tamaqua police released information on several cases:

• An Easton woman wanted on a warrant for possession of illegal narcotics was taken into custody by Tamaqua police on Oct. 25.

Officers located Tabitha Comstock, 23, on Market Street around 3:45 a.m. and learned she was wanted on the warrant from Warren County, New Jersey.

• Tamaqua police charged Valedy Ross, 28, of Danielsville, with theft, stalking and harassment by communication after he continued to call and text a Tamaqua woman.

According to officers, a Tamaqua woman reported receiving harassing messages from Ross and said she had obtained a protection from abuse order. Police said Ross continued to call and text the woman between Oct. 5 and 23, followed her in public, and accessed her online bank account to steal $970.

• John Kamant Jr., 62, with a last known address of Pottsville, was sent to prison on trespassing charges filed by Tamaqua borough police.

Police were dispatched to 513 Railroad St. at 4:30 a.m. Oct. 20 for a report of a man trespassing inside an unoccupied structure. Officers said the man, identified as Kamant, was found in a second-floor bedroom even though he was warned previously to stay off the property. The property owner said he wanted to press charges against Kamant, who was given countless warnings to not return. The property is also posted against trespassing, police said.

Kamant told police he knew he should not have been on the property but had nowhere else to go. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge A.J. Serena, Orwigsburg, on charges of disorderly conduct and defiant trespass. Kamant was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison on $10,000 straight bail.
