An injured bicyclist had to be rescued Sunday afternoon from a heavily wooded area atop the Broad Mountain in Nesquehoning.

The incident was reported around 2 p.m. of a cyclist who fell in a remote area suffering a head injury in the state game lands.

Nesquehoning firefighters were able to reach the victim and return him to the parking lot of Route 93.

The man was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics before being transported to a nearby trauma center.
