Tours

• The Schuylkill County Historical Society will conduct its Haunted History Tours in Pottsville 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. It is a tour of Baber Cemetery, 14th and Market streets. A tour of downtown Pottsville will start at the society, 305 N. Centre St., at 8 p.m. Saturday. For reservations, contact the society at 570-622-7540.

• Ghost Walks, presented by the Jim Thorpe Rotary Club Friday and Saturday nights, one-mile, round trip, walks start at the Inn at Jim Thorpe, 24 Broadway. Led by a costumed storyteller with lantern, the walks, all outside, last about an hour. Proceeds benefit charities. Pre-registration and payment is recommended. Info: www.jimthorperotary.org/

Trunk or Treat

• Maple Shade Meadows, 50 E Locust St, Nesquehoning, 6-8 p.m. Friday.

• Lansford is having its 3rd Annual Halloween Festival at Ashton Park (aka Lansford Pool) on Oct. 29 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. For children from Lansford, Summit Hill, Coaldale, Nesquehoning, Tamaqua, Lehighton and Jim Thorpe. There is no charge to attend and there will be free food for kids 12 years old and under. There will also be trick-or-treat tables.

• Lehigh Valley Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo, Get your costumes on and be prepared for tricks and treats galore on 29 and 30.

Trick-or-treat each day from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at candy and treat stations throughout the Zoo. Music from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 29 and 30. Check out themed crafts and activities plus pumpkin patch and more.

Bags will not be provided to participants, so please remember to bring your trick-or-treat bag.

• Cornerstone Community Church Harvest Fair, noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, 388 Polk Township Road, Kresgeville. The day includes games, crafts, trunk-or-treat, bake sale, popcorn, cotton candy, food, hot chocolate table, Operation Christmas Child.

• The Future Business Leaders of America will be holding a Halloween event for children infant to 11 years of age at the Palmerton High School from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, with Halloween activities, games, and much more. Cost is $5 per child.

• The Polk Township Volunteer Fire Company will hold Trunk or Treat on Halloween from 6 to 8 p.m. at the firehouse in Kresgeville. Attendees may park in the field next to the firehouse.

• Trunk or Treat, 1-4 p.m. Saturday at Penn Forest Township Recreational Park.

• Germansville Fire Company and Heidelberg Union Church will be hosting a trunk or treat and fire department open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the fire company, 6011 Memorial Road, Germansville.
