                State police at the Lehighton barracks announces DUI charges resulting from traffic stops:
                • A 20-year-old East Stroudsburg man will be charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a vehicle stop made at 8:52 a.m.. Oct. 18.
                Police said they stopped the 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt at the intersection of Covered Bridge and Little Gap roads in Lower Towamensing Township for a Motor Vehicle Code violation after which time police said the stop yielded the man was DUI.
                The charges are pending the results of toxicology testing administered to the driver.
                • Police said a 22-year-old Palmerton man is facing charges after a violation stop they made at 3:10 a.m.. Oct. 17 at the intersection of Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East and Forge and Allen streets in Lehighton borough.
                Police said the man was suspected to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
                The charges are pending the results of toxicology tests administered to the driver, police said.
