October 21, 1976 - Margaret Reinbold and Geri Hook both register two firsts as Panther Valley defeats Hazleton 60-23 in swimming competition. Reinbold captures the 200 free in a time of 2:38.4 and also touches first in the 500 free. Hook, meanwhile, wins the 50 free in 28.6 seconds and takes the 100 free in 1:07.4. The Panthers, who gain nine firsts out of the 11 events, also receive winning efforts from Michele O’Connell (100 butterfly), Lisa Phillips (100 backstroke), Patty Iezzoni (diving) and two relay teams.
