October 13, 1962 - Coaldale receives touchdowns from five different players to gain a 32-7 victory over Schuylkill Haven. Bob Winsko gives the Tigers an early advantage when he takes the opening kickoff and returns it 88 yards for a score. A Bill Edwards-to-Richie Miller 40-yard pass in the second frame leads to an Edwards 1-yard score that extends the margin. Coaldale, coached by Geno Poli, tacks on another TD when Haven fumbles the kickoff and Tom Moyer scoops up the loose ball and returns it 35 yards to the end zone. An interception by Martin Kodlick sets up a second Edwards-to-Miller strike, this one for a touchdown. Eddie Kassak closes out the scoring with a 3-yard tally.
