A pedestrian sign at a business in Bowmanstown is missing.
Borough Public Works supervisor Chris Bixler said last week that the sign by Relly’s Deli, 600 White St., was either stolen or drug by a car that ran it over.
Bixler asked council if it could get two new signs for next year.
“These signs are really to get your attention,” Bixler said.
Council said it would look at pricing in next year’s budget to replace the signs.
Also on Thursday, councilwoman Kara Scott noted that Bank Street has deteriorated for bike access.
“I feel it’s a significant danger,” Scott said. “It’s a dangerous situation; someone can get hurt.”
Bank Street is a state road, and not the borough’s.
Scott also inquired as to what the borough’s intentions are for street paving next year.
Council President Pam Leiby told Scott council has a plan in place.
Leiby said council would put the matter on next month’s meeting agenda.
Scott added the borough is “doing a great job of fixing the streets.”
