Tamaqua professional women’s club celebrates 75 years

The Tamaqua Business & Professional Women’s Club recently celebrated its 75th anniversary.

The club was established in 1947 and is a part of the Pennsylvania Federation of Business & Professional Women, a statewide organization of more than 1,600 members in 75 local clubs.

A leading advocate for working women, the club supports local and State projects and organizations including Girl of the Year Award, Wreaths Across America, Spirit of Christmas, Veteran’s Projects, American Cancer Society and the PA BPW Foundation.

Over the years it has been steadfast in adherence to the principles of fairness, reliability and integrity.

The Tamaqua BPW is a leader in the community and role model through a sense of fellowship designed to enhance the quality of life for all. A succession of dedicated leaders and members have contributed to its growth and development in serving the community.

The Tamaqua BPW meets first Tuesday of the month. All women, working or retired and students, are invited to attend.
