Schuylkill incidents

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating incidents in Schuylkill County:

• On Sept. 9 troopers began investigating the theft of an all-terrain vehicle and a motorcycle from a residence along East Second Mountain Road in West Brunswick Township.

The two vehicles were later located along Route 61 which lead to a one-mile pursuit. The investigation is continuing.

• Troopers said the owner of the Moore Supply Company, at East Main Street, in Hubley Township, reported someone used a fraudulent business check to withdraw $8,562.77 from the business’s account.

• On Sept. 23 at 4:08 a.m. troopers responded to the Bedway Produce Company, located at 15 Builtwell Road, in North Manheim Township. The owner of the business reported a trailer was stolen from the property.

The trailer is a 53-foot long 2019 Great Dane stainless steel model with “Bedway Produce Company” on the rear doors. No value was listed for the trailer.

• On Sept. 24 at 2:20 a.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox at East Norwegian and South Jackson streets in Pottsville. The driver, Mitchell Moss, 39, of New Philadelphia, showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.

• On Sept. 18 at 12:11 a.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2007 Volvo S60 at Schoolhouse Road and Mill Creek Avenue, in East Norwegian Township, for a traffic violation. The driver, Lindsey Veron, 33, of Tamaqua, was found to be impaired and in possession of oxycodone.

The investigation is continuing and troopers indicated a driving under the influence of a controlled substance charge is pending.

• On Sept. 18 at 6:17 a.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2015 Ford Fusion at Sioux and Creek drives in Wayne Township, for a traffic violation. The driver, Tyler Santiago, 25, of Kunkletown, was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

• On Sept. 24 at 9:27 a.m. troopers responded to South Ferguson Street, Shenandoah, for an active domestic incident.

Walter Hughes, 61, of Shenandoah, was cited for harassment - physical contact against a 57-year-old woman from Shenandoah.
