October 4, 1986 - Eric Dalius rushes for 126 yards and a touchdown to help lead Northwestern to a 27-6 Centennial League victory over Notre Dame. Dalius accounts for 46 yards during the Tigers’ 11-play, 66-yard drive in the opening quarter that results in a 1-yard scoring run by quarterback Dave McCann. Dalius breaks free for a 59-yard spring to the end zone in the final frame to seal the win. Northwestern, coached by Bob Mitchell, also receive a pair of short TD runs from Andre Hodge, who finishes the contest with 51 yards on the ground. On defense, Jeff Kieffer intercepts two passes.
