The computation has begun in Bowmanstown as officials attempt to piece together next year’s finances. Borough council recently took its initial review of the first draft of the 2023 budget, with more sessions planned.

Council will take its next look at the budget when it meets at 7 p.m. Oct. 18.

Last December, council at a special meeting adopted this year’s budget with no increase in the municipal tax rate.

That left the borough’s millage rate at 13.005 mills.
