Annual Rocktoberfest to be held in Lehighton

The sixth annual Rocktoberfest will be Saturday and Sunday in Lehighton’s Lower Park and on North and South streets.

Hosted by the Lehighton Downtown Partnership, the two-day event supports Cancer Awareness and the community.

Rocktoberfest will be from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Entertainment on Saturday includes Eric Stimmler from noon to 2 p.m., Damian Walck from 2-4 p.m., and The Left Edge from 4-7 p.m. Saturday.

One Sunday, Autumn Falls performs from noon to 2 p.m., Nicholas DeSouza from 2-4 p.m., and Out of Shape from 4-6 p.m.

Family-fun activities include games, music, food, vendors, scarecrow making, pumpkin painting, free games, a candy wheel and a dime pitch.

There will also be horse-drawn carriage rides, as well as a huge basket raffle held under the big tent to support the Lehighton Fire Department.

The Pharoahs Car Club will host its annual car show. Vehicles may be brought for one day at $15, or both days for $20. Three trophies will be awarded each day. Arrive on South Street off First Street to display cars.

Guests are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and listen to music.

All of that adds up to an exciting event, according to Bambi Elsasser, Lehighton Main Street Manager, Lehighton Downtown Partnership.

“It’s a fun event; come out, support Downtown Lehighton and the revitalization project,” Elsasser said. “Support local, and visit downtown businesses.”
