How long have you worked there: I have been employed at LVHN for 12 years. I have worked in multiple areas as a registered nurse that include cardiology, gastroenterology, and care management.

Job title: Patient Care Coordinator/RN

Department: Heart Station/Non-Invasive Cardiology

Why you like your job: Working in the heart station allows me to have a great work/life balance and work alongside fantastic colleagues that assist the physicians to diagnose and plan patient centered care. The challenge of the job is to educate patients to perform good self-care to promote heart health.

Background, Education: I am currently working toward a master’s degree in nursing education. I am a member of the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses and I look forward to teaching my colleagues and the new generations of nurses to care for our families and community.

Information about you and your family: I have been married to my husband for 24 years. We have one son together and two beagles. We enjoy camping and kayaking. I volunteer as a Scout leader in my spare time.
