Wayne Nothstein deserves all the kudos that can be assembled. His latest contribution to the health, welfare and safety of our county is 10 years in the making, “Emergency Operations Training Center” on Broad Mountain. It is appropriately named after Wayne Nothstein as it was his dream and leadership responsible for its completion.

Some in the community have challenged Wayne’s straying from pure Democratic principles of leadership just to “get stuff done.” There is obviously a delicate balance between the two. That he has survived politically for six terms in office as a County Commissioner indicates that he has found that balance. No one can deny that he has earned the respect of his constituents as a visionary master county servant.
