PPL donated a digger derrick truck Donates to Northampton Community College, the school announced.

The truck will be used in the lineworker training program at NCC.

In addition to helping build and kick start the training course at NCC in 2011, PPL has provided wooden poles, vehicles and equipment so that students get the hands-on experience needed. The program’s six instructors are current or former PPL lineworkers.

There 15 students enrolled in the program and upon completion will join more than 250 others who have completed the program and become line workers for power companies, cable companies and other utilities.
