State police — DUI cases

State police at Lehighton reported on several driving under the influence cases:

• Troopers said on Aug. 17 at 9:44 p.m. troopers responded to a one-vehicle crash at Route 248 and Bank Street, in Bowmanstown. The driver involved, Jasmine Hunsicker, 25, of Lehighton, was found to be under the influence and refused a test. Charges were filed.

• On Sept. 19 at 12:49 a.m. a 2000 Honda Civic was stopped for a traffic violation at Route 248 and Lehigh Drive, in Bowmanstown. The driver, a 41-year-old man from Bowmanstown, who troopers declined to identify, was suspected to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was also found in possession of drug paraphernalia. He refused testing. Charges will be filed.

• On Sept. 16 at 10:46 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop along Interchange Road at the turnpike entrance, in Franklin Township, of a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu for a vehicle code violation. The driver, a 37-year-old man from Lehighton, who troopers declined to identify, was suspected of driving under the influence of a controlled substance. He was refused any testing. Charges will be filed.

• Troopers conducted a traffic stop on Sept. 16 at 4:50 p.m. at Fireline and Sand Quarry roads in Lower Towamensing Township, of a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado truck, for a traffic violation. Troopers said the driver, a 32-year-old man from Palmerton, who troopers declined to identify, was suspected of DUI of a controlled substance. He refused testing. Charges will be filed.
