State police at Fern Ridge

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following crashes:

• Two vehicles were damaged at 6:06 p.m. Sept. 9 in the parking lot of the Wawa store, 1781 Route 209, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said a 2008 Subaru Impreza driven by Anthony D. Keller, 44, of Saylorsburg, backed from a parking place into the trafficway of the lot and struck a 2016 Jeep Compass driven by Diana I. Santiago, 33, of Blakeslee.

Police said the Jeep needed to be towed from the scene while the Subaru sustained functional damages but was driven from the scene.

• The driver of a 2021 Ford Escape that traveled through an intersection and through a red light has been cited for causing a two-vehicle crash.

It happened at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 31 at the intersection of routes 209 and 115 in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said the Escape entered the intersection and struck the side of a 2000 Freightliner. Both vehicles were removed from the scene under their own power and neither driver was injured, police said.
