Monroe County Prison Board has entered an agreement with Arrow Engineering firm to do an assessment at the water and sewage facilities at the jail.
There was no contract signed or moneys paid for the assessment, according to Greg Christine, the Chief Clerk of Monroe County.
“We’re looking at the water tank pump, we’re looking across the street with the manor at that time and also the sewage treatment,” Commissioner John Christy said. “One of the issues we have had in the past is the recommendation that perhaps we should drill another well. What we found with the conversation yesterday is that it has to be out of the way of the area existing well draws on.”
The decision was made that the engineering firm will evaluate and then make recommendations to the board on what repairs or changes are needed.
