September 19, 1987 - Panther Valley battles both Lourdes and poor weather conditions, but a first-quarter touchdown stands up as the Panthers gain a 7-0 victory. The winners, coached by Joe Leonzi, reach the end zone when Jim Paluck connects with Tom Miller on a 24-yard scoring toss. After that, PV’s defense takes over. Bob Thomas ends a Lourdes threat when he records a tackle for loss on a fourth-down play in the red zone. Jeff Goida stops another Raider drive with an interception. The Panthers allow just 45 yards of offense, with Gene Snisky and Tom Schlemmer both finishing with two sacks.
