Schuylkill County commissioners approved a number of actions at a public meeting Wednesday.
These included approving:
• The Office of Senior Services’ return of $13,316.80 in block grant funds to the Pennsylvania Department of Aging for the 2021-2022 caregiver program;
• The return of $4,425.24 in block grant funds for PA Medi (Medicare Education Decision Insight Regional) for 2021-2022, and;
• The return of $100,962.36 in block grant funds for American Rescue Plan funds for 2021-2022. The money will be reallocated for the agencies use in 2022-2023.
• The reappointment of Mildred Dronitsky, of Pottsville, as a member of the Offices of Senior Services’ advisory board. Her new term began Sept. 1 and ends Aug. 31, 2025.
• Kimberly Mashack, of Frackville, was hired by the Treasurer’s Office as a clerk typist II at $14.97 an hour.
• Commissioners will hold their Sept. 21 public meeting at 6 p.m. in the commissioners’ board room.
