Two Coaldale students of Marian Catholic High School captured top honors at the diocesan declamation tournament held at Notre Dame High School in Bethlehem Township.

Ann Schaefer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Schaeffer, 24 W. Phillips St., and Stephen Radocha, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Radocha Jr., 28 W. Phillips St., won the girls’ and boys’ top honors, respectively.

Schaeffer chose “And There Was An Emptiness” as her subject while Radocha’s topic was “Why?”
