A homeless man has been charged with stabbing the operator of a street sweeper in the parking lot of the Mount Pocono Plaza, Mount Pocono, early Friday morning, police said.
Pocono Mountain Regional Police said the person who was stabbed was treated for non-life threatening injuries by emergency medical services personnel.
Arnaldo Delrio, 43, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, possession of instruments of crime, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and harassment.
Police said the street sweeper operator told them he was speaking to Delrio about some personal property left in the parking lot when Delrio jumped into the street sweeper through an open window and stabbed him.
Police said Delrio had a bloody knife on him when they arrived on the scene.
Delrio was sent to the Monroe County Correctional Facility.
