The Carbon County Commissioners acted on the following items during their weekly meeting on Thursday.
• Authorized the advertisement of the invitation to bid for the HVAC installation at the Mauch Chunk Opera House.
• Approved the appointments of Dana Stebelski, St. Luke’s University Health Network, Lehighton; and Ellen Cauthen of Jim Thorpe, to one-year terms on the AAA Advisory Board; and the reappointments of Grace Riggio of Lehighton; Thomas A. Williams of Parryville and Diane Luedtke of Jim Thorpe, to one-year terms.
• Approved an addendum to the subgrant agreement with Catholic Charities, Diocese of Allentown, for the continuation of the Emergency Rental Assistance Program in the amount of $3,282,562.39.
• Approved a revision request to Community Development Block Grant Program 2019 for Lehighton. The request moves $86,401 from clearance and demolition of 135-139 North St., to the Lehighton Senior Center, installing a new roof.
• Approved an agreement between the Carbon County Area Agency on Aging and Kellie A. Cummings to continue as SHARE housing counselor for the SHARE Housing Match Up Pilot Program.
• Approved a grant of right of way with PPL Electric Utilities Corporation to construct, reconstruct, operate and maintain its electric communication facilities consisting of one anchor guy and overhead facilities for the courthouse renovation project.
• Accepted a proposal with Johnson Controls Fire Protection of Allentown for a camera system and access control at the 525 Iron St., Lehighton location. The total cost is $56,392.46.

• Hired as recommended by department supervisor: Marlin L. Tyson of Andreas, seasonal park maintenance, effective Sept. 12.
• Change of status: Nicholas G. Goldberg of Palmerton, from IT system analyst/social media technician, to IT system administrator trainee, effective Sept. 8.
