Bulldogs rout Pen Argyl

PEN ARGYL – Northern Lehigh had the pedal to the metal right from the opening quarter on Saturday afternoon in a Colonial League matchup with Pen Argyl.

The Bulldogs seized the momentum with two early touchdowns, and then capped off the first 12 minutes with a pass interception return for another score. The Bulldogs weren’t threatened the remainder of the way as they bulldozed to an impressive 44-14 victory.

Coach Joe Tout’s team was well balanced and used a tenacious defense to build a commanding 23-0 lead after the first quarter. Northern Lehigh then posted three quick touchdowns in the third quarter to zoom in front 44-0 and kick in the mercy rule.

Jack Tosh rushed for 107 yards on nine carries for the Bulldogs, while teammates Alexander Jimenez-Wittong and John Abidelli each hit the end zone twice.

Northern Lehigh improved to 3-0 on the season while the Green Hornets fall to 1-2.
