Old Mill Road in Franklin Township is closed due to a dead tree falling across the roadway tearing down power lines. The incident occurred at 4:30 p.m. just south of the intersection with Pohopoco Drive.

According to PPL, 117 customers are without power. The power outage is expected to last till midnight. The Franklin Township fire company handled four calls in just a matter of minutes.

The Franklin Township fire police maintained traffic control at the scene shutting down the roadway.

PPL is also reporting 49 customers without power in Lansford, because of a weather-related issue.
