Local Roundup: Results from Aug. 25

It was a good day for area golf teams on Thursday.

Palmerton swept a three-team match, while Panther Valley and Northwestern also picked up wins. Pleasant Valley, meanwhile, went 2-1 in a quad match.

Notre Dame

Tyler Hager carded a four-under-par to help spark Palmerton to a Colonial League sweep at Green Pond Country Club.

The Bombers stayed undefeated at 7-0 overall and 6-0 in the league thanks to a 407-476 win over the Slaters and a 407-483 victory over the Crusaders.

Hager grabbed medalist honors with his 67, while teammate Connor Reinhard followed with a six-over-par 77.

Natalie White and Tyler Scneer both had 79s for Bangor, while Simon Weed paced Notre Dame with an 85.

In an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference quad match at Bethlehem Municipal, Pleasant Valley posted a 2-1 mark.

The Bears dropped a 383-437 decision to Liberty, but knocked off both Pocono Mountain West (437-626) and East Stroudsburg North (437-688).

Lydon Patascher shot a four-over-par 76 for PV’s top score, while teammates Braxton Knapp (87) and Billy Bruckman (93) both carded career lows.

Pleasant Valley improved to 4-6.
