State police at Schuylkill Haven have filed more charges against a Schuylkill County dentist after seven more woman came forward and accused him of inappropriately touching them in a sexual nature.

Troopers said Dr. Scott Miller Parkinson, 58, of Orwigsburg, was arraigned Tuesday on additional sexual assault counts. Parkinson is a cosmetic dentist who maintains an office along East Laurel Street in Tremont.

Troopers charged Parkinson on Tuesday with numerous sexually related crimes relating to the new allegations. He was arraigned before District Justice David Rossi, of Tremont, and released on $50,000 unsecured bail.

Police said on July 21 they opened an investigation after information was received that Parkinson has been allegedly engaging in sexual misconduct with patients and employees.

The investigation uncovered that Parkinson was allegedly inappropriately touching his female employees and patients without their consent.

Police said they believe the alleged behavior has been ongoing and that there could be other victims.
