Schuylkill County commissioners

The Schuylkill County Commissioners acted on the following items during their weekly meeting on Wednesday.

• Lisa Fishburn of Schuylkill County’s Mental Health/Developmental Services agency asked county commissioners to approve an amendment to the agency’s purchase of service agreement with Service Access And Management Inc., increasing their fiscal year 2021-2022 contract to $7,150,678, a total increase of $521,729.

The amendment, she said, reflected an increase based on changes in allocations to the agency.

All three commissioners, Gary J. Hess, George F. Halcovage Jr., and Chairman Barron L. Hetherington, agreed, and approved the amendment.

• Acknowledged the resignation of Dr. Carol Belinski from the Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board;

• Approved a resolution extending the Emergency Services Grant contract with the state Department of Community and Economic Development from May 31, 2020, to June 30, 2023.

The resolution extends the county’s contracts with Servants to All, Catholic Charities, Schuylkill Community Action, and Schuylkill Women in Crisis (now Schuylkill Hope Center) until June 30, 2023.
