State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following:

• An Effort man faces felony charges after an Aug. 9 parole violation, according to state police. Donavan Talmadge, 20, failed to update his registration as required by Megan’s Law, according to police. A Columbia County parole officer who specializes in sex offenders contacted troopers about Talmadge, saying that Talmadge was in violation of his parole because he obtained employment at the KFC in Brodheadsville and failed to update his Megan’s Law registration.

Talmadge is in the Columbia County prison for violating his parole.

• On Aug. 12 at 1:28 p.m., a 69-year-old Albrightsville woman reported a domestic abuse incident happened at her home. She said her 67-year-old husband pushed her against a wall following an argument.

The man was charged with harassment - physical contact.
