An estimated 50 patients at the Carbon County Home for the Aged in Weatherly were among attendants who enjoyed the annual summer outing staged by the county’s Area Agency on Aging Wednesday at Memorial Park in Jim Thorpe.

Not only did they enhance the success of the day’s program by being present, a number of them combined their talents in providing entertainment for the entire group.

Leonard F. Marzen Jr., AAA director, and activities director Mary Kobrick planned and oversaw the event.

Entertainment for the 10th annual picnic was provided by the Tirp-C-Cords.
