August 10, 1981 - Damian Walck throws out the potential winning run at the plate in the bottom of the sixth inning and Franklin Township scores six times in the top of the seventh to gain a 13-7 Panther Valley Little League tournament victory over Lansford. In the home sixth, Ron Hood doubles and moves to third on a wild pitch. Paul Goida lofts a fly to right and Walck makes the catch and fires home to nail Hood at home. FT’s Bob Strausberger delivers an RBI single to snap the tie in the seventh, and Larry Ahner ups the lead with a two-run double. Trevor Walck adds another two-run double to seal the win. Ahner finishes with three hits to pace FT, while Hood ends with four for Lansford.
