State police at Lehighton reported investigating a one-vehicle crash at 2:33 a.m. on July 31 along Forest Inn Road in Lower Towamensing Township.

Police said the driver is facing a driving under the influence charge.

Troopers said Dominick L. Heller, 21, of Effort, was northbound when he lost control of his motorcycle. The vehicle impacted a culvert and came to final rest.

On scene troopers found Heller sitting on the ground next to his bike inside the tree line. Troopers asked Heller if he needed medical attention and asked for identification. Heller then began to pull away from the troopers and physically resist. Troopers then deployed a stun gun to gain control of Heller.

He was taken into custody and asked to submit to a blood test. Troopers said charges to be filed pending test results.
