Sate police at Fern Ridge are investigating a theft incident.

Troopers said two women, ages 86 and 25, both of Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, reported $3,500 was missing from a recently deceased family member’s bank account. A New York ID, Medicare and food stamp cards were also unaccounted for.

The investigation is continuing.
