Walnutport man faces Megan’s Law violation

Lehigh Township police have filed charges of failure to comply with registration of a sexual offender against David Wayne Ladlee, 73, of Walnutport.

In an affidavit of probable cause, Chief of Police Scott M. Fogel said the charge comes after he received notification from the Pennsylvania State Police, Megan’s Law Division, that Ladlee failed to check in or report his change of address.

Fogel said he was informed Ladlee moved out of his residence in the township on July 3. Ten days later, he was located by state police in his camper at 4300 Manor Drive, Stroudsburg.

Ladlee told police he was going on a “spree,” sleeping in his truck and then in his trailer. He told police he is “homeless” and that he paid rent to Schoch’s Sunoco to keep the trailer at the above address through Aug. 6.
