JT church hosts clothing giveaway

If you need to spruce up your wardrobe, but money is tight, stop by St. John’s Lutheran Church in the Heights, Jim Thorpe. They are holding their annual free clothing giveaway. All items are free and everyone is welcome.

“We’ve been doing this every year for about 25 years,” said Leta Thompson, a member of the church and volunteer at the giveaway. “Each year we collect the clothing donations, then usually in July or August we make the clothing available.”

There is clothing for men, women, and children, all separated into sizes and type of clothing. Shirts, blouses, pants, dresses, coats and jackets; there is something for everyone.

They also have shoes for children and adults, as well as some toys and other items, including reading glasses.

They are open until 8 p.m. today and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

St John’s Lutheran Church is at 319 South Avenue in the Heights, Jim Thorpe.
