State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following incidents:
• Troopers said on July 8 at 4:09 p.m. a 19-year-old woman from Orwigsburg, was involved in an altercation at a campsite off Bulls Head Road in Norwegian Township, involving multiple people. As a result she came in contact with a campfire and sustained burns.
The investigation into the incident is continuing.
• Troopers also reported investigating a burglary on July 15 at 6:05 a.m. Troopers responded to a residence along Long Stretch Road in Pine Grove Township. Troopers said Sebastian Golden, 29, of Pine Grove is facing burglary charges.
• Troopers said on July 12 at 2 a.m. they were dispatched to the Pilot Truck Stop along Suedberg Road in Pine Grove Township, for a reported theft. Through an investigation it was determined that an employee of the truck stop had been scammed into giving an unknown person $3,684 in bitcoin.
• Troopers said a check sent in the mail to Sands Ford, located at 1456 Route 61, North Manheim Township, was intercepted. The name on the check was changed and cashed. The amount loss was $3,505. The incident was reported on July 1 at 10:19 a.m.
• On July 23 at 2:35 a.m. troopers conducted a stop at of a 2014 Subaru at East Arch and Line streets, in Pottsville, for a moving violation. The driver, Hector Rodriguez, 47, of Pottsville, was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence.
