During June, Palmerton Police Department responded to 123 calls for service. The following were charged:
• Jackson Troxell, 24, Coopersburg, charged with three counts of driving under the influence, for an incident May 31 at the intersection of Mauch Chunk Road and Franklin Avenue.
• Antoinette Froilan, 21, Allentown, possession of drug paraphernalia, for an incident May 31 at the intersection of Mauch Chunk Road and Franklin Avenue.
• Joseph Aponte-Alejandro, 24, Bethlehem, three counts of driving under the influence, for an incident June 10 in the 100 block of Delaware Avenue.
• Scott German, 42, Palmerton, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, simple assault, and harassment, for an incident June 12 in the 200 Block of Avenue A.
In addition, Palmerton Police issued: 66 traffic citations, 23 were for expired inspections, 15 for speeding, seven for obedience to traffic control devices, four each for expired registration, expired emissions, failure to activate hazard signals, two each for driving without a license and maximum gross weight of vehicles, and one each for window tint, display of registration, driving under suspension, improper equipment, and failure to wear eye protection; 14 non-traffic citations, and seven traffic violation warnings.
